Sculpted Bowl

This vessel's form is inspired by the Tulipierres of the Defltware era of ceramics. I wanted to experiment with joined, thrown forms and used these vases to guide me. I needed to create a piece with differring slopes to accentuate the movement of the chosen glazes. 
 
The bowl is made from a grey stoneware clay and glazed with three layered glazes to get the variations in colour across the surface.
 
The bowl has a diameter of 10cm and the height is 10cm
 
All EpsomPots are stoneware single-fired, fully vitrified making them watertight and food safe. Handwashing recommended.
